HOW IT WORKS

The CX5 Automatic Coil Changer picks coil material from coil farm according to job specifications.

Coils are automatically loaded onto the Uncoiler and fed into the Slitter.

Marxman Pro slitter automatically adjusts blades to the part’s specification and labels each blank.

The Side Shift Table collects blanks from the slitter. The table is wheeled to the FASST docking station.

Side Loader collects blanks, scans the part label, then loads blanks into the Duplex folder or another process.

Duplex folder bends part to profile specifications.

Flip/Unload Conveyor – flips parts for the long folder up to 48″ wide. Flip/Unload Conveyor – collects and dispenses finished parts.

Upon completion, parts are pushed from the Flip/Unload Conveyor to the Part Stacking Table.

    The Side Loader feeds blanks into the Duplex, where each part is squared against the backgauges and locked into the grippers. The SWI advantage is that parts can be fed while the folder is running for improved process speed.

    The Fully-Automated Side Shift Table (FASST) combines a wheeled platform with SWI’s FASST Vision System for an effective way to transition blanks from the slitter to an automated Duplex folding operation. The FASST Vision System scans part barcodes and feeds the Side Loader.

    FLIP/UNLOAD CONVEYOR

    For automation applications, the Flip/Unload Conveyor provides an operator-free solution to flip parts during the folding process – up to 48” wide. In cases where the operator needs to step in, the software triggers the unit to automatically stow for clear access to the folder.

    PART STACKING TABLE

    Upon completion, finished parts are pushed from the Flip/Unload Conveyor to the Part Stacking Table. This is a convenient solution – especially when operators might be away and/or monitoring other processes.
