Although SWI machines are easy to use, it doesn’t mean they are not still dangerous. Because operator safety is critical, our machines come with the latest in photoelectric light curtain technology to establish a virtual barrier around the work area and slow or halt the machine when operator involvement is needed.

These devices meet the highest safety standards up to PLe as required by ISO 13849-1, while at the same time providing passive, unobtrusive protection that doesn’t frustrate, nor hinder the operator.

OPERATOR TRAINING

Expert training comes with every SWI machine installation. This gives operators both the knowledge and confidence to keep processes running smoothly and safely.

ROTATING COIL CAR

The Rotating Coil Car on SWI uncoilers will change orientation of a coil when moving the coil from a slitter to rollformer no matter which direction the coil was loaded. This feature is ideal when shop floor space is limited – as it makes it safer and easier for a fork truck operator to maneuver.

RECOILING COIL TIPPER

The Recoiler Coil Tipper for SWI recoilers eliminates the need for secondary tipping equipment or processes. With this feature, coiled material can be unloaded with ease and stored safely and efficiently. Capacity: 1.5 metric tons (3,300 lbs.)
